Coins are good

August 1st, 2007 at 11:25 pm

SO I have a change jar that I place all my loose change into every evening. I was going to wait until it was filled until I rolled them and deposited them. But then I realized that I am actually losing interest by waiting. SO I wrapped them tonight and it amounted to $57.00. Not bad for 5 months.

Whoo-hoo! I roll mine as soon as I have enooug and then deposit them ASAP. If I'm lucky I get between $15-$20 a month. Of course, that includes some random dollar bills thrown in there as well...

I also save coins. I wrap them about once a month and usually have at least $15 - $20 dollars. Whenever I get change for purchases I try to save it. What I really need to do though is set a goal of something to earmark it for - something I want long term like a new sewing machine, new mattess for our bed, new chairs for the family room - I could go on all day. Thats my problem - too many things. I need to pick just one, save for it and then move on to something else.
